Seeing Isa Al-Masih and the Cross in a Dream and Their Meaning

Seeing Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) in a dream is a sign of good news of redemption from worries, ills, and diseases.

If a person sees in his dream the birth of Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us), then, with God’s permission, he preaches good news or a happy event. As for the one who sees Christ (His peace be upon us) with His twelve disciples, he is blessed with good companionship or fellowship, and this is also an invitation to be a disciple and live your life as they have lived. So, the vision of Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) foretells safety, tranquility and lasting peace.

A person who, in a dream, sees Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) wipe his head or body with oil or water will be healed if he is sick and unbound if he is a prisoner. If a woman is pregnant and sees in her dream Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) wipe her head with His hands, then it may witness that the birth will be easy, without fatigue, pain, or hardship, and it is an invitation to dedicate this child to Him.

Whoever sees Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) as returned or resurrected, and if he is an expatriate or traveling, he will return to his family and home. It is the most important proof of the triumph of Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) over death, and His promise to take us to the heavenly homeland of Paradise.

If someone hopes in his heart and sees Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) in his dream, before him, sitting with him, or speaking to him, then that wish is fulfilled and an expression of true love.

Whoever sees Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) in a dream, then this is a sign of his sincerity and generosity. If Isa (His peace be upon us) uttered something, He would speak the truth because Isa (His peace be upon us) is the Word of God.

Whoever Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) enters his/her home in a dream, settles in this place safety, stability, and with blessings. And whoever sees Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) eat from his/her bread, he/she will have sufficient provision throughout his life, and it has been said in some places who eat with Isa (His peace be upon us) in one dish, he/she will know poverty and never be in want.

Also, seeing Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) in a dream indicates the promise that is fulfilled: whoever sees Him on the cross escapes his anguish and receives evidence of His pure love and deliverance from death and sin.

The cross in a dream symbolizes the compassionate character in general. It also indicates avoiding dangers, vice, or passions, for you are crucifying the desires, passions, and vices of your life. If you see in your dreams that you are wearing a cross on your chest, it indicates your sincerity, dedication, and willingness to sacrifice for the sake of others (loved ones, friends, and close ones).

The cross in a dream announces the dawn of a new life full of grace and truth. If you see a person in a dream presenting a necklace with a cross with you, that is a sign that indicates the end of your problems and the end of obstacles that you faced in life. As for the one who sees himself in a dream as being crucified or tormented on the cross, s/he may face in life situations that require sacrifice or have a distinguished role in society, and s/he may follow in his/her life the path of the reformers.

  2. Salam. I saw in a dream that a group of young people like me called me to walk on a path that led to a cross. What does that mean? I can’t interpret the dream for myself and I hope to find some answers from you. Kindest regards.

    1. Wa alaykum as-salam, Anwar. Thank you for sharing your dream with us, and may God grant you clarity and peace as you seek understanding. This is a beautiful and meaningful dream. The path in your dream represents the journey of life and the choices before you, and it did not lead just anywhere but directly to the cross. The cross announces the dawn of a new life full of grace and truth, of Sayidna Isa, and it is the central symbol of the redemption and love that Sayidna Isa Al-Masih offers to all people. The fact that young people, your peers, people like you, were the ones calling you toward this path is deeply significant: it reflects a communal invitation, a sense that you are not being called to walk alone, but in fellowship with others who are on the same journey. This mirrors the words of Sayidna Isa Al-Masih Himself, who said in the Injil, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Injil, Matthew 16:24). Your dream is a gentle and gracious call from God upon your heart, an invitation to walk the path that leads to Sayidna Isa Al-Masih, to discover the forgiveness, peace, and new life He offers through the cross. We encourage you not to ignore this dream, but to seek, to ask, and to knock for God’s promises that those who seek Him with a sincere heart will find Him. If you would like to learn more about the meaning of the cross and what Isa Al-Masih offers you, we are here to walk alongside you on that path.

  3. Alsalamalaekoom. Is seeing an empty cross surrounded by light in a dream a good sign? what does it mean for the dreamer and Is Allah the almighty sending a message through such dream? many thanks for your help

    1. Wa alaikum assalam, Mansour. Thank you for sharing and entrusting us with your dream. Seeing an empty cross surrounded by light in a dream carries profound spiritual significance and indeed a divine message. The empty cross is central to Christian faith, symbolizing that Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) is not dead but risen, having conquered death and sin. The light surrounding it amplifies this message of hope, victory, and divine presence, as light in Scripture consistently represents Allah’s glory, truth, and revelation (Injil, John 8:12, 1 John 1:5). This dream indicates that Allah is drawing attention to the finished work of redemption through Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) sacrifice and resurrection. It is an invitation to understand the completed atonement that the cross is empty because Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) rose from the dead, offering salvation and new life to all who believe. The surrounding light suggests divine approval, illumination of spiritual truth, or a call to walk in Allah’s light. This dream is encouraging you to explore the Injil message more deeply, to find freedom from spiritual burdens, or to recognize Allah’s desire for reconciliation. Don’t hesitate to write us back if you have any questions. May Allah bless you.

  4. Alsalam alaykum. I had a strange dream that I was in a tent and then a priest entered holding a cross and he looked like he knew me and told me that I am a chosen son. What does the dream mean please?

    1. Wa alaikum assalam, Demir. Thank you for sharing and entrusting us with your dream. The tent in your dream may represent a temporary dwelling place or a season of transition in your life, reminiscent of how the patriarchs lived in tents as they journeyed with Allah. The priest entering with a cross is a powerful symbol of Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) sacrifice and the message of the Injil. His recognition of you and declaration that you are a “chosen son” echoes the Injil truth found in John 1:12, which says that “to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” This dream is a divine invitation, showing you that Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) knows you personally and is calling you into a relationship with Him as a beloved child of Allah. The cross represents the way this adoption becomes possible, through Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) death and resurrection. Just as the Injil says, “For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father’” (Injil, Romans 8:15-16). Consider this dream as Allah’s gracious call to accept His love and the identity He offers you as His chosen son through faith in Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us). Don’t hesitate to write us back if you have any questions. May Allah bless you.

  5. Assalam allaikom, last night in the dream I that I was praying in the mosque with other people, then a bright light filled the mosque, and then we saw that prophet Isa pbuh is the source of the light, he stood there carrying a cross and then I woke up. What is the meaning of this dream?

    1. Wa alaikum assalam, Kamal. Thank you for sharing and entrusting us with your dream. The mosque setting where you were praying represents your sincere heart of worship and seeking Allah, showing that the Lord sees and honors your devotion regardless of the physical location. The bright light that filled the space is profoundly meaningful, light consistently symbolizes Allah’s presence, holiness, and revelation of truth (Injil, John 8:12, 1 John 1:5). When Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) appeared as the source of this light, this aligns perfectly with His declaration: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (Injil, John 8:12). The cross He was carrying is the central symbol of Allah’s love, representing His sacrificial death for the sins of humanity and the pathway to salvation (Injil, 1 Corinthians 1:18). This dream is a divine invitation, Allah is revealing to you that Sayidna Isa (His peace be upon us) is indeed Al-Masih, the Light who brings salvation, and He is personally calling you to understand the significance of His sacrifice on the cross. The fact that this vision came while you were in prayer suggests Allah is responding to your seeking heart. We encourage you to read the Injil to learn more about Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) life, teachings, death, and resurrection, and to pray asking Allah to reveal His truth to you. This dream is the beginning of a personal revelation of who Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) truly is, not just a prophet, but the Savior of the world who desires a relationship with you. Don’t hesitate to write us back if you have any questions. May Allah bless you.

  6. Alsalamalaykoom. I saw in a dream that one of my family members is wearing a cross, I wondered why and I went and asked him about it and he told me that he had found the truth. I woke up questioning my dream and wondering what truth did he talk about? Does that carry any meaning/ hope to get an answer please.

    1. Wa alaikum assalam, Ali. Thank you for sharing and entrusting us with your dream. Your dream carries significant spiritual symbolism that warrants careful consideration. The cross in your dream represents Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) and the Injil message of salvation, as it is the central symbol of Christianity and Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) sacrificial death for humanity’s sins. When your family member stated he had “found the truth,” this echoes Sayidna Isa’s (His peace be upon us) own words in the Injil, where He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Injil, John 14:6). This dream is a divine invitation for both you and your family member to seek and encounter Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) as the ultimate Truth. The fact that you woke up questioning and seeking understanding suggests the Allah through His Spirit is stirring your heart to investigate the claims of Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us). I encourage you to read the Injil with an open heart, asking allah (SWT) to reveal His truth to you. Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us) promised, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you” (Injil, Matthew 7:7). This dream is Allah’s merciful way of drawing you closer to Him and inviting you into a relationship with Sayidna Isa Al-Masih (His peace be upon us), who offers forgiveness, eternal life, and peace with Allah. May Allah continue to reveal His truth and love to you. Don’t hesitate to write us back if you have any questions.
